The most important part about being a nanny...
I remember when I used to work with children with intellectual disabilities and I had this one client that was a strict one on one. When ever he would be having a day I would take him to his favorite hotel as he had a photographic memory and knew exactly how to get there. So to redirect his angry feelings we got in the car a went for a ride to his favorite hotel which he liked to attend just to ride the elevator. When he would get on this elevator he lit up like a fire cracker on the forth of July; andhe would completely calm down his behavior. After he would be calm and he would be fully redirected. We would go for dinner outside and then stop for an after dinner snack like cookies or cakes.
