Hi, my name is Jeanine, and I bring over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for children. As a dedicated stay-at-home mom, of 6, (4 of my own and my 2 stepdaughters) I've raised my own children while creating a loving, structured, and nurturing environment where they could grow and thrive.

In addition to that, I've worked as a nanny/house manager for a family for over 10 years, supporting children of various ages and becoming a trusted, consistent presence in their lives. I truly love working with kids and take pride in being kind, attentive, patient, and dependable.

I also worked at Tiny Topa Preschool here in Ojai for one year, caring for children ranging in age from 18 months to 3 years old. This experience allowed me to further develop my skills in supporting young children’s daily routines, learning, development, and social growth in a nurturing preschool environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing a variety of fun and age-appropriate activities with little ones, including coloring, painting, puzzles, games, reading books, imaginative play, and spending time outdoors. I love encouraging creativity, learning, and exploration while making sure the children are engaged, having fun, and feel safe and supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is making sure a child feels safe, loved, heard, and cared for. Building a trusting relationship with the child and being someone they can depend on is so important to me. I also believe in supporting the parents and being a reliable, helpful presence for the whole family. My goal is to make their lives a little easier while giving their children the love, attention, and care they deserve.

I have experience caring for children with special needs. I have cared for a child with autism since he was a baby, which has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, consistency, and individualized care. I have learned to pay close attention to each child’s unique needs, communication style, routines, and comfort level. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where children feel understood, accepted, and cared for, while also working closely with their parents to provide consistent and reliable support.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny is when a child I’ve cared for becomes so comfortable and connected with me that they naturally reach for me, want to sit beside me, or get excited when I walk through the door. Those little moments mean so much to me because they remind me that I’ve become someone they trust and feel safe with. Watching a child grow, learn, and become more confident while knowing I’ve been a small part of that journey is one of the most rewarding parts of being a nanny.
