"We cannot say enough wonderful things about Jenn! She cared for our son from just two months old until his first birthday, and we could not have asked for a better nanny. We only parted ways because our family moved out of state.
Jenn was so much more than a nanny to us. She genuinely loved our son as her own, and it showed in everything she did. She was attentive, nurturing, patient, and intentional in her care. She went beyond simply watching him, engaging him daily in activities that encouraged learning and development.
Jenn was an absolute pleasure to work with. She communicated openly, respected our wishes as parents, and was always receptive to feedback. We had complete peace of mind knowing our son was in such loving and capable hands.
We are forever grateful for the role Jenn played in our son’s first year. Any family would be fortunate to have her, and we recommend her wholeheartedly!"

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have extensive experience working with children of all ages, from infants through high school. I've taught in preschools, daycares, elementary and high schools, as well as homeschool programs, teaching English, French, Spanish, and science. I also homeschooled my own five children through high school.
My nanny experience includes caring for an infant from 10 weeks old until his first birthday and working with a family of five children, including one with special needs. My responsibilities included childcare, meal preparation, household assistance, and administrative support for the family's business.
I've also taught piano and swimming lessons, worked as a camp counselor, and held positions at the YMCA. As a paramedic, mother, and grandmother, I bring a unique combination of medical knowledge, patience, creativity, and hands-on experience. I love helping children learn, develop independence, and feel loved and valued in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in fun, hands-on activities that encourage creativity, curiosity, and learning! Some of my favorites include trips to the library, reading together, arts and crafts, imaginative play, nature walks, outdoor adventures, baking, and cooking. I also enjoy teaching piano, swimming, and practical life skills.
I believe childhood should be filled with experiences, exploration, and meaningful interactions rather than screen time. I love discovering each child's unique interests and incorporating those into our daily activities. Whether we're building with blocks, exploring nature, making something creative, or learning a new skill, my goal is to make every day fun, educational, and memorable while encouraging independence and confidence.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is building a loving, trusting relationship with both the children and their parents. Children need to feel safe, loved, seen, heard, and valued. They also need consistency, structure, boundaries, and encouragement to grow into confident, kind, independent individuals. I believe in nurturing the whole child—emotionally, physically, socially, and intellectually—while making learning fun and meaningful. It's important to respect the parents' values and parenting style and work together as a team. Being a nanny isn't just about keeping children safe and meeting their daily needs; it's about making a positive, lasting difference in their lives and being someone they know they can always count on.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with children with special needs is both deeply personal and professional. Our son, Drew, lived to be 16 and had complex medical and developmental needs. I was actively involved in every aspect of his care, including tracheostomy and ventilator management, feeding tubes and pumps, intermittent catheterization, medication administration, and adaptive communication using switches and eye-gaze technology.
As a paramedic, educator, and mother, I understand the importance of safety, patience, advocacy, inclusion, and adapting activities to each child's abilities. I've also cared for children with special needs in a professional childcare setting.
I'm a children's book author, sharing stories inspired by Drew's life to encourage inclusion and show that every child deserves to learn, participate, feel valued, and experience joy, regardless of their abilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was coming back after being away for the weekend and seeing Beckham's entire face light up when he saw me! He was so excited that he didn't even want to go to Dad, who was usually his favorite person! It melted my heart. Those moments mean so much because they remind me that being a nanny is about so much more than childcare. It's about building a loving, trusting relationship where a child feels safe, happy, and genuinely connected to you. Knowing I had become such a special part of his little world was priceless!
