Safety is always my primary concern, but I find it equally important to make sure that the children in my care are also happy and having fun! I like to provide plenty of oportunitiesfor fun crafts, activities, and educational oportuinities. My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with several children with special needs for years and have the most experience working with children with ADHD and autism. I love finding ways to work with the kids as individauls to find what works best for them to make each day a good one.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments working with kids is when we work together to cope with a challenging situation. Sometimes kids get overwhelmed with emotions, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help them process their emotions, use language to describe how they feel, and learn coping strategies for handling their emotions in a positive way. Some of my best moments with kids were the rainbows after the storms when a learning moment happened and they can smile as they learn from it and move on to better things.
