Hi! My name is Jenna Hovet. I am 22 years old. I absolutely love babysitting. I have done both nannying and babysitting, plus I worked at a daycare in High school. Throughout Covid I helped tutor an elementary aged student. I have had weekly jobs, random date night jobs, and overnights! I want kids to feel loved, seen, and heard. I value the uniqueness in each child. I love to have fun and I am super creative. I am capable and I am a fast learner. I'm happy to cook, clean, do laundry, plan activities, and basically anything that involves watching kids. I'm happy to meet pets and love them too!! Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing all kinds of games!! Make believe, board games, or sports! Going for walks is always fun in all kinds of weather!! I also am always down to do a craft or color. I love doing a movie night and will often try and make it a theme. Making movie tickets, having the kids help with the popcorn and setting up the living room. Baking is always fun with the older kids. Dance parties, read alouds, and puzzles are also fun!! I’m basically down to do anything your kids want to do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is to make sure the kids feel loved, seen, and heard while aligning with the parents boundaries. It’s an honor to come alongside parents and help with there kids. I want to create a safe space where kids are free to be themselves. I love having fun and creating a joyful environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nannying moment:
I was tutoring an elementary age kid during covid. The endless zoom meetings with 30 restless 7 year olds and the longing to go outside was getting to both of us. We decided to go for a walk to get some fresh air. Somehow the walk turned into battle between good and evil and we were spies racing up and down the sidewalks, trying not to get caught by the bad guys. Every fire hydrant we saw we pretended to “check in” with our “captain” to make sure we were on track for our “mission”. Ever since that day we did a “spy walk” and it is still something I do with them and other kids!! The power of imagination!!
