A little bit about me

Hi!

My name is Jennifer :) I have over ten years experience as a nanny, in addition to helping to care for my three beautiful nieces and nephew since birth, and whilst they are growing up. I have experience caring for children from newborn to late teens.

I am a certified children's yoga instructor, I love to cook and happy to help with meal preparation, and also any household chores or errands, as required. I love animals, so any family pets who also need care/feeding/walking is welcomed!

I am very patient and kind, and I am experienced in working with children with learning difficulties and special needs. I am comfortable administering medications and monitoring health conditions. I can help with home-schooling and homework also - I have two college degrees with good grades.

Of course, I am comfortable with a full background check, and you will find me to be squeaky clean! I am very flexible with hours, and can work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and travel if required :)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a Yoga Alliance certified RYCT Children’s Yoga Instructor. I find that kids love to learn yoga!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do arts & crafts, yoga, board games, and activities that involve learning and stimulate their minds, such as chess.

I feel that it it is very important to have outdoor time also. I enjoyed a broad range of activities such as horseback riding, swimming, soccer, or just a good old game of tag!

I also love taking kids to the beach, theme parks, and the museum. Anything that makes them smile and learn!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Enriching children’s lives, by providing a safe environment, with plenty of interaction and education, and making them feel loved and secure.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a 9-year old girl who had suffered meningeal encephalitis and subsequently experienced frequent seizures. I have also worked with children with dyslexia.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are so many! Most notably, watching kids graduate from elementary and middle school after tutoring and educating them :)
Teaching my nieces and nephew to swim and horseback riding.
Really, any moment that I see the joy on their faces laughing and smiling :)
