I once volunteered at a Church as an assistant in a class full of children - ages 10-15. Another experience would have to be between family and neighborhood families. I have cared for many cousins, nephews, nieces. As well as friends of my main nanny job. I tend to do date nights or weekend last minute calls for families.

Is making an impact on the Childs life. whether it's through gaining their trust, or whether it's helping them get through obstacles they might find challenging. Making a positive impact on their life is a big part of being a nanny. This is a life we're nurturing. And to be able to help this individual in different forms, is amazing.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of many favorite nanny moments I've encountered (which I enjoy) is when I am done babysitting/nannying and I get those good bye hugs. Bittersweet. The "See you tomorrow"'s. The cheesy jokes that they share. The creepy crawlers they find outside, the random conversations about what they're afraid of, of what they love, whether it's their favorite dish for dinner or worst vacation memory.
