The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion there are several answers to this question. The first priority is respecting the wishes of the parents. Showing the little ones how to learn and have fun in a safe manner. Making sure the children feel safe and loved during the day and being able to calm a child in distress is huge. Also, making sure the hard working parents come home to a tidy house and clean kiddos. Making sure the parents are always aware of any trips or activities. Communication is definitely key.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with ADHD and autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would have to say teaching the little boy to pee pee in the potty and using a potty chart giving him stars and when he was potty trained a little "potty party ".
