More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have about 4 years of teaching experience at a daycare. I did an internship at EasterSeals in Joliet as well. I’m currently an Associate Teacher at Alexandria Center through Catholic Charities, Joliet Diocese. I’m also currently enrolled at Lewis University in Romeoville, working toward my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education/SpecialEd. For my teaching license. Outside of these experiences I’ve nannied for many different families I’ve met along my career.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy being creative with children by constructing different type of hands-on activities. Especially sensory focused activities for toddlers, that grabs their attention the most. Being outdoors and incorporating objects from outside is fun for them as well. I always love to look up new ideas for me to introduce to them and see if it’s something we can add to the list.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is assuring the child is priority by being safe and keeping constant communication with the parents and any other family involved. As well as making sure everyone’s needs are met.

My experience with special needs children...

Throughout my career my classrooms have always been inclusive therefore I’ve experienced working with a mix of typical developers and children who have disabilities or need early intervention. This has broadened my education and learning how to approach each child individually and as a whole. It requires me to pay attention to certain details that may be no issue for one but is for others.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are creating a special bond where I notice the child become comfortable that they feel safe and open to being their genuine self around me.
