A little bit about me

I am fairly new to babysitting/nannying. I am 20years old, I was recently employed by a daycare for about a year and was lead teacher for our Prek 5 (4-5yr olds). I did travel from classes here and there so i grown knowlegde upon other ages of kids. I genuinely enjoy being around kids as well as teaching them. i am often seen as a creative person who can keep them occupied as well as help them understand knowledge.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

during my first year of college I helped manage a classroom as an assistant for a couple of months and then was a prek teacher at a daycare for almost a year. before I used to be in a club during high-school where we would volunteer and help in the elementary classrooms

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy making sensory boxes, they're always fun to use as well as create. Any source of art or creativity is my go to.
perfect weather always calls for outside time, tag is a fun activity most kids can handle. if they're not into physical tiring activities, chalk ! again creativity art is a way to learn the children's mind.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Friendship, if I am able to become friends with the kid and build a bond it's truly remarkable ! I don't want to just be seen as someone who is SUPPOSED to look after them. I want them to see me as someone who WANTS to look after them bc of the friendship and bond being made.

My experience with special needs children...

During my time at the daycare, I did work with kids on the spectrum. I am no expert in the subject but I am willing to grow my understanding and build a knowledge on how to work within these opportunities
