I have volunteered at an after school daycare in high school for four years tutoring elementary and high school students in math and reading. I was a part of the virtual tutoring program at my college where I tutored math and reading. Currently, I am a nanny for an agency for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I virtually tutor students in elementary school in math and reading. I am a substitute teacher in New Hanover County in Wilmington, NC.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing with children by playing with the toys they have, going on walks with them, eating with them, watching tv with them, etc. My main enjoyment is being in the presence of children as you can learn a lot about children from their big personalities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A sweet moment I had with one particular child was when the child cried when I gave the child back to their mother after I needed to leave. This really brings tears to my eyes because it means that I truly made an impact on that child when I was watching them.
