A little bit about me

I am 39 and have 6 of my own children ages 2 to 19 and three bonus children ages 8 to 19. I took Early childhood education in high school. I was CPR and first aid certified however I have not been certified recently but I am willing to do so if you prefer. I have worked with disabled adults for 3 years and have been fingerprinted to verify my self and background and passed and have been fingerprinted and a child abuse background dobe as well and passed that as well and have verification in hand. I absolutely love children and watching them grow and learn and love being apart of their development while parents are obligated else where. I take this position very seriously and promise to care for your child or children as if they were my own and follow all requests you specify.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I assisted a friend with her child care business for 5 years. Children ranged in ages 6 months to 10 yrs old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love singing children’s songs and nursery rhymes, as well as doing learning activities with colors, numbers, letters and shapes. Reading stories and having play time and hands on experiments for their appropriate age group.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing children with a secure environment to learn and grow and develop without having worries of being hurt or ignored. I want the parent to feel confident that when they leave their child or children in my care that they have no worries or fears and know that they are cared for and loved as if they were my own children . I don’t believe in physical discipline or yelling. Talking to them in a calm manner and letting them know what they did wrong and how it affected all involved and give them suggestions for handeling situations in a positive manner. I want them to know they can always talk to me without fear of judgment or retaliation.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with autistic children as well as children with cerebral palsy and down’s syndrome while assisting with my friends child care center. I have also worked with disabled adults mentally and physically disabled and learned a lot of about those disabilities and how to interact and handle these children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is watching the child or children grow and develop and learn. Being active in their development and seeing them advance. Watching them laugh and play and use their imagination’s.
