I also have an autistic son he is 9 and he was nonverbal but I am thankful to say he is now talking n has changed so so much only By the power of God because not even the Dr's understand how he went from not speaking till he was almost 6 n half to now being so normal you couldn't even tell he has Autism.. so needless to say I have lots of love and patience for children. I have been working with children my whole Life. Since I was a 10 I can say I raised my Step brothers 3 n my step sisters 2 since we were very small. I have 4 children and that along is a lot.. I have also been working with child care as my job from home since my first son was 4 n his 20 now. I have also worked for the CCPC elementary and high School. I love children and is what u love to do.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I currently have 5 children full time and I am very big on Schud and having routines every day. I do thus at home as well. Consistency is very important and it makes things more affective and more Proactive. We do breakfast time, Play time, story time, lunch time , nap time and snack and then let them fo free time. It has always been a very successful day each day for us. It works great

My experience with special needs children...

My 9 yr old son is autistic. You have to have a Avery special heart in my opinion to care for a child that has a special need. And this is something we have to be Blessed with. Because of him is that I am back to work from home. Because he kept getting hurt n mistreated at the after school programs n school. It is sure not easy but it is my Mission to make sure we Make it through.
