I love spending quality time with children, and learning who they are as an individual. I wholeheartedly enjoy reading, dancing, singing, and teaching new skills to bring out a child’s personality and help them feel as though it’s safe to play, ask questions, and make mistakes.

For me, the most important part about being a nanny is the satisfaction is making a positive and lasting impact on the child, as well as the family. We’re not just a babysitter. We’re educators, mentors, and friends.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children stems from both personal and professional experience. My oldest nephew has level 3 autism, epilepsy, and cerebral palsy. I’ve been babysitting him since he was adopted as an infant, and continue to do so to this day. During my childcare career, I’ve worked with children (from toddlers to adolescence) that have autism, adhd, and diagnosed behavioral disorders. I look at these children no differently than I do children that do not experience the symptoms of these disorders, but I fully acknowledge and appreciate the difference in their needs and how to approach them.

Forever and always, my favorite part about being a nanny or interacting with children, is watching a child’s eyes light up with excitement and fulfillment as they reach a milestone or foster a sense of independence as they grow.
