Hello! My name is Jessica, I am a happily married college graduate in my early 30s. I have no children of my own due to health complications, but I have plenty of both paid and personal experience with all ages! I am an auntie to 11 wonderful munchkins, from ages 1-12, and I specialize in developmental psychology and tutoring.

I also have a passion for animals and caretake for medical foster dogs in my home. Don't worry! Any animal your child would meet would be vetted by yourself personally, and guaranteed to be social and non-contagious! This also means I am more than happy to help love your fur angels, too!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Of course it vastly varies depending on the individual child, but my favorite activities are those where I can introduce real-world skills on an age-appropriate level.

As a developmental psychologist, this often comes up with younger children developing language skills or growing their understanding of how the world works, from gravity to emotions!

With older children, this can mean helping to answer harder questions about why rather than what. Are we struggling with science homework? Let's talk about what these concepts really mean, and how you can learn more yourself! I pride myself on helping preparing children to be self-sufficient, curious, and successful young adults.

No matter if we're coloring, crafting, doing homework, or playing outside, or even having quiet time, I find joy in helping a child grow their own abilities on a long-term scale.

My experience with special needs children...

I volunteered with special needs children through both Give Kids the World (terminally ill children with families) and Tennis for Fun (developmentally delayed children and adults).

I also have extensive experience gifted and with twice-exceptional children: those that are both gifted and have a learning disorder or special need. As a private tutor, these are passion areas of mine.
