I’ve been a nanny for the past 8 months for a family in Scottsdale. I was a nanny for a family in Gilbert over the past two summers, and I am a vetted sitter on another babysitting app as well. I have experience in group childcare, as well as leadership with kids in vbs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to color, play board games, read books, and play with toys and blocks inside with the kids. When we play outside, water play is typically the best way to go to beat the heat! I am comfortable supervising kids in the pool, but it is totally up to parents’ preference.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is to help set kids up for success in life. Of course as a parent you want your kid to learn and grow, and ultimately become self-sufficient. It is very important to me to help teach life skills such as cleaning up after yourself, sharing, helping one another, using manners, saying please and thank you. I am ready to redirect bad behavior when necessary with patience and love. I want your child to grow to be the very best version of themselves they can be!
My experience with special needs children...
I have done some babysitting for a few different kids with autism or down syndrome, all pretty high-functioning. Although I haven’t had a ton of experience, I am always willing to learn more!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories was with three girls that I nannied for two summers! On our last day, each summer, we would go to the nearest Petsmart just for fun to walk around and look at the different fish and animals. Then we would finish our day by getting a treat at Bahama Buck’s! Made so many wonderful memories.
