A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Jesse, I am 19 years old and currently a first year student at CSU Long Beach in pursue of my BA degree in dance. I have formal experience as a dance instructor for the past 7 years to a variety of ages and levels. The past 6 months I have worked in a dance studio in the bay area teaching recreational classes from ages 2-13, teaching a set curriculum with a great performance education system. On an average I would lead a class of 13 kids, which has really taught me to take control of high energy situations. As well as teaching me interpersonal communication skills with the children and parents, to ensure the safest and most productive learning environment. also have previous work nannying as well as child care (with ages 0-10) and youth english tutoring in developing countries in South America/ Caribbean. Through my experience I have found that working with youth through active education or the arts is my passion, and I plan to continue my work in hopes of creating my own nonprofit recreational/therapy center for the youth someday.
