I have over 20 years experience and have even ran my own nanny agency, Guardian Angels for 7 years. I have two of my own children, 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son. My daughter is type 1 diabetic so I'm very conscious of nutrition and health.

I have a nanny bag that I bring to work with me that the kids just love. I change the content often depending on the children's likes, interests, skill level, and learning ability. The best way to teach a child is through creativity and fun. I love crafts, puzzles, games, exploring nature, cooking, music, and dance.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I take great pride in helping to raise and shape a child's mind, creativity, life. The simple practices we teach children at this young age will have lasting effects on their life. Example, grabbing for an apple, or carrots with hummus over a sweet treat. When getting upset, learning to take a moment, a breath before reacting. Establishing good study habits and daily routines. All these play a role in a child's world and how it is shaped long-term.

I have a lot of experience with children with special needs. I have worked for Community Connect for years where I help children with disabilities express themselves through art and music. We also help children with basic communication and tasks through proved techniques and repetitive fun education.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Oh there is too many to count but probably being present at big life events, graduating high school, college, getting married. I have stayed in contact with every child I have ever had the pleasure of helping raise and watching them 15 years later at life events, like marriage or getting into a good college is very rewarding.
