Hello! My name is Jessica and I am a 25 year old online college student and mom of 2. I was born and raised in Brunswick and love this little hometown! I am majoring in nonprofit organization in hopes to eventually become a fundraising manager for a children’s nonprofit group. I love children of all ages, the outdoors and crafts. I have a lot of experience with children of all ages from being a babysitter, tutor, volunteering at daycares, and being an elementary school class monitor. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered at day cares where I assisted teachers in the toddler rooms.
In high school I spent 2 years learning about early childhood education and development which taught me a lot of ways to properly care for an infant through a toddler.
I have also been an elementary school class monitor where I assisted students with work, listening skills and playing!
I was a neighborhood babysitter when I first started out, which quickly grew when I fell in love with watching children. I have years of experience with infants, toddlers and children up to the ages of 10 years old. After over 5+ years of experience, I became a nanny to three children on Sea Island whom we all shared many laughs and memories before they moved.
I now have a 10 year old and a 3 year old niece who I got to watch grow up and assist with their care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do many different things with children depending on their age. I love to read children stories, play with toys, and help with educational games. I also love to go on walks, take kids to the park and spend genuine time with them. I love doing crafts such as painting, coloring, drawing and much more! Depending on the parents wishes, I let the child pick what they would like to learn about or play with and just encourage them to have safe and positive fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are so many important things about caring for children. Showing children that they are cared for, safe and loved is the most important. While it is always great to have a fun time, it is also important to keep kids safe as well. I enjoy creating a genuine bond with the children while helping them learn, keeping safe and having fun. I also stand firm in following the parents wishes. I will always do what is expected of me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience volunteering in the special education class rooms in middle school trough high school.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have many of these! A funny story I experienced was watching one of the kids I watched make a great connection with another child at the park….. after a few hours, they got ‘married’ under a tree! Another great thing I love about being a nanny/babysitter is the connection you make with the kids. Those warm and loving hugs where you can feel their joy and trust is unbeatable!
