More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a mom myself, I understand the importance of finding someone trustworthy, patient, and caring to look after your children. I have over 8 years of experience working with children, including babysitting for friends and family, providing childcare in my home for local families, working in daycare facilities, and serving as a substitute teacher in early childhood settings. I have also worked in hospital and nursing home environments, which strengthened my caregiving, communication, and responsibility skills. I am CPR and First Aid certified and comfortable caring for children of all ages and needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As a mom and childcare provider, I enjoy engaging children in fun, educational, and age-appropriate activities that support their growth and development. Some activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, reading stories, sensory play, outdoor play, educational games, music and dancing, imaginative play, puzzles, and hands-on learning activities. I also enjoy helping children develop important life skills through daily routines, encouraging creativity, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn, explore, and have fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and feel secure. I believe it’s important to build trust with both the children and their parents while providing consistent, reliable care. As a nanny, I strive to support each child’s emotional, social, and developmental growth, encourage their curiosity and independence, and ensure they feel valued, respected, and cared for every day. As a mom and experienced childcare provider, I understand the importance of treating every child with patience, kindness, and genuine care.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for and working with children with special needs through my roles in daycare facilities and other childcare settings. I have supported children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and physical needs by providing patient, individualized care and adapting activities to meet each child’s unique abilities. In addition, I have personal experience with disabilities through children in my own family, which has helped me develop compassion, understanding, and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, safe, and encouraged to thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments is watching a child reach a milestone that they’ve been working toward, whether it’s learning a new skill, saying a new word, gaining confidence, or accomplishing something they’ve struggled with. Being able to encourage and support children as they grow is incredibly rewarding. I also love building strong relationships with families and creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy, and excited to learn each day. As a mom myself, I understand how meaningful it is to know your child is loved and cared for, and being able to provide that peace of mind to families is one of the most rewarding parts of childcare.

Kat H. - Seeking Work in Mc Donough

Part-Time Nanny Available in Mc Donough, GA: Kat H.

My name is Kat and a little bit about me…
I started out babysitting at the age of 10, when my younger sister was born. 2 years later my little brother came along. So from helping care for them I was able to get firsthand knowledge on how to be the best sitter/nanny. As we got older they had friends whose parents needed a sitter & I started working with families on a regular basis watching kids aged 7-12. Around 19 I realized although I enjoy all ages, I love babies. So I decided to shift from being a sitter to an actual nanny, having a more long-term position with families. I focused more on assisting families with newborns/infants & got to work with amazing families over the years.
Parents look for trustworthy, dependable & reliable people to look after their children. They want someone who’s gentle & nurturing while also being fun & friendly & someone who’s helpful, organized & patient. Over the years I have been able to develop all of these qualities and more!
