More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Alongside being a babysitter for 2 different families, I worked as a children’s art teacher at my mom’s shop! I would teach kids how to follow a specific paint regime, and would make sure they were all painting on their canvas and not each other!
With my babysitting experience, I took care of a child whom was diagnosed with autism. After watching him for years, him and I became best friends! I also have experience working with 7+ kids at once for family birthday parties or church gatherings. I’ve worked with toddlers with separation anxiety and young siblings that have vendettas for each other.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything they enjoy!
I’ve done trips to the park, trampoline games, hide & go seek, kinetic sand, stick fights, forts, drawing, water balloon fights, storytelling, reading, tag, horribly-made-up-games, and even dancing— there isn’t an activity a kid couldn’t make me do.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The way you speak to them. It’s everything.
My experience with special needs children...
I cared for a boy who was adopted from Georgia (the country) and spoke no English. He suffered from autism and a lazy eye, in addition from coming from a home of severe neglect.
When I first met him, he was acting out towards his adopted parents— mostly out of fear and confusion, I’d say— but I slowly was able to see love transform his behavior. He slowly began to speak broken English and understand the permanence of the relationships that were holding him upright. He was introduced to his childhood all over again, but this time, it was with nature, friends, community— and not with the abandonment of the electronics that he was left with.
Being able to be such a big part of his life as he grew past such a hard time was one of the most rewarding experiences for me. Watching him grow into who he is today, knowing that I had the honor of seeing him being introduced to a completely different lifestyle than what he once knew, changed both our souls for the better.

The most important part about being a nanny...
By having all the younger siblings apologize to their older sister by preforming an “I’m sorry” dance that required a duet and a hug.
