First of all, I would making sure the child is safe at all times. Secondly, though, I think being a nanny requires patience and love. Kids will not always be easy to take care of, but if you have those two things, you will be much more able to lead them, instruct them, and effectively care for their needs.

One summer, I nannied for a brother and sister and I took them to a hike with a beautiful waterfall. They had a great time taking in the nature around them, and for me introducing them to a new place was really special.
