Outside of nannying, I have also worked at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for 2 years now. I work as a mental health specialist in the Psychiatric Crisis Department. Essentially, I am a nurses helper in the emergency department at their behavioral health building. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some of the best psychiatrists, counselors, nurses, social workers, and more. I have gained so much knowledge and have really enjoyed being able to work directly with our patients there

Pretend play is one of my strengths! I also love leading crafts and activities that have an educational twist whether is social-emotional, developmental, or school-based learning. I enjoy outings when possible, I have a zoo membership and vast knowledge on the best parks in the area.
My experience with special needs children...
Growing up, my mother worked as a teacher in a classroom for children with special needs. I started visiting and helping in her classroom when I was in 3rd grade. I attended the special Olympics with her every single year from 5th grade through high school. Additionally, my youngest sister is on the autism spectrum. I have had lots of experience watching my mother care for both my sister and the students in her classroom. Lastly, at NCH the kids we see have a vast range of ability and needs. There, I have cared for children at the highest and lowest ends of the spectrum.
