My experience with special needs children...
I have 3 kids I have babysat/nannied with autism: one nonverbal/non active, one nonverbal/highly expressive, and one verbal but very dependent. I have twins that I babysat that had Epilepsy. I also work with many kids with a wide array of behavioral disorders.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment has to be when all 3 kids (1, 4, and 7) and I used to go on daily walks around the neighborhood where the older 2 could ride their bikes and I had the baby in the stroller. It was a way to get energy out and be able to be outside.
