I’ve been a teachers assistant for a while and that’s taught me social skills with younger kids. I’ve also spent a lot of time with my friends younger siblings and cousins.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I always open to doing anything but I especially enjoy playing sports and videogames. I also enjoy singing and playing piano and I’m always open to trying new things.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part about being a nanny would be to provide care and teach basic life skills and help younger children to learn how to convey emotions and feelings without throwing tantrums. I also believe that it is helpful to provide children with a space that they feel safe and comfortable in so they can be themselves and feel confident to try new things.
My experience with special needs children...
I haven’t cared for special needs children but I have family members that are special needs so I’m understanding and patient.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have not had any professional experience nannying but I am looking to start. I have supervised my younger cousins while playing or swimming but I’ve never had any formal experience nannying although I’m open to learning. I’ve had some time to learn basic skills from babysitting my younger cousins and my girlfriends younger family members, as I’ve been doing “nanny work” for about a year with them.
