More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a Nanny in Home for 3 years in Nashville, I have worked as a nanny for ages infant to 4 years old, and additional pets. I am CPR Certified. I was a Camp Assistant Coordinator at Nashville Zoo for kids 3-12 years old teaching them about wildlife and guiding them throughout the zoo and activities. I have worked in children’s ministry for 3-5 years. I currently am a fashion design student and so I am very hands on when it comes to creatively interacting with children and pets.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy mainly outdoor activities: biking, rollerblading, hikes, walks, going to parks, museums, exhibits, the zoo etc.

I enjoy being creative and doing hands on activities in door: drawing, reading, building forts, playing hide and seek, science experiments, etc.

There is a plethora of options to enhance the curiosity of a child’s mind and as a kid who could not sit still and intrigued by everything, I aim to think like a kid who just wants to constantly discover, learn, and feel heard.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It is important to me that the children I nanny and care for can discover who they are through their likes, dislikes and a word healthy knowledge. My main goal is to teach children to be more emotionally intelligent, because it will be beneficial in the long run. They will learn how to express themselves and communicate for growth.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have any experience with special needs children unfortunately.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment with this one child I Nannied, his name was Iggy and he was a bright young boy. We decided to go out to the Cumberland river and catch some fish. So his parents provided us with two fishing poles and a bucket to catch the fish. When we got to the lake we setup our stuff and Iggy was already ready with his pole to catch fish, while I struggled for a good minute. Iggy silently just watched me struggle with the fish wire and hook, until he finally said “Um Miss Jojo I don’t think you’ve caught fish before “. I laughed and I said no I never have, can you help me. Iggy was 4 years old and it humbled me, because kids are brilliant and they can teach you something new everyday. I am not an expert at fishing, but Iggy taught mw how to catch and reel in one. I enjoy working with children who can reciprocate knowledge as well as absorb it.
