I began this journey in high school, volunteering at a daycare with infants. I then became a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons in college. In 2020 I became a long term substitute teacher in a kindergarten classroom. I have had my own 1st grade classroom for 3 years now.

The most important part about being a nanny is building a connection. To a child, you are a stranger coming into their safe space and it is difficult for them to welcome you and adjust. Building a strong connection will ensure the child/children feel safe in their environment and are more willing to participate and make mistakes to grow.
