My experience with special needs children...
During school I always volunteered to give my free period up to hang out with the special needs class. I would have lunch with them and help with school tasks if needed. I also have experience babysitting a girl with autism and cerebral palsy for years.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Doing face paint and science experiments during the summer! Summer has to be my favorite time of year to take the kids for fun activity. Showing the kids something new they have never experienced before is the highlight of my year!
