More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I have cared for children includes my current work as a Child and Youth Program Assistant on a military base and a couple daycare centers non military, where I care for children ranging from infants through preschool age. I have also worked in child and youth programs with children from infants through school age, providing supervision, age-appropriate activities, arts and crafts, imaginative play, and support with daily routines. In addition, I have experience as a nanny/babysitter providing individualized care for children and am a mother myself, giving me firsthand experience with the responsibilities, patience, and attentiveness that caring for children requires.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I especially enjoy doing arts and crafts, imaginative and creative play, reading, outdoor activities, nature walks, and age-appropriate games with children. I love creating fun, hands-on activities that allow children to use their imagination, explore their interests, and learn through play. I also enjoy baking, simple science or sensory activities, and helping children create projects they can be proud of.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I believe a great nanny should be patient, dependable, attentive, and willing to understand each child’s individual personality and needs. Building a strong relationship with both the children and their family is important to me, while also encouraging creativity, independence, learning, and plenty of fun along the way.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with different developmental, behavioral, and individual needs through my childcare and child and youth program experience. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, communication, and adapting activities to meet each child where they are. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, understood, and encouraged to participate at their own pace.
