A little bit about me

I am the valedictorian for the class of 2024. I have lived in New Plymouth for five years on my family's small farm. We currently have 9 cows (of which I help bottle feed several daily), 10 adult chickens and 43 baby chicks. We also have 4 dogs and 1 cat. I work on the farm building fence, laying irrigation pipe, working in the gardens, and other landscaping needs.

I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, painting, dancing, running, and lifting weights.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I love kids and have been caring for them in various settings since I was 10, and I love it! I have volunteered for my mom's elementary school class all throughout high school, have been tutoring and babysitting since 2017, and volunteering in my church nursery since 2017 as well.

I have also been a part of the Little Pilgrimettes dance camp and helped children aged 4-12 learn dance moves.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I live a very active life, and also value healthy eating. I love being actively engaged with the children I care for. I strongly embrace the "teaching through play" concept.

I love art projects, nature/outside play, and inspiring children to use their imaginations.

The most important part of being a nanny is giving your child(ren) a safe and loving person they can trust.

My experience with special needs children...

I have limited experience with special needs children. The only experience ive had wad teaching a deaf child the dance routine for our high school dance camp. It was challenging, but also very rewarding.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was during my time with two kids. We decided to make cookies, and in the middle of this, the younger one (2 years old) pulled out a pot and started playing it like a drum on the floor. The girl (7 years old) then took the spoon she was using and started using it as a microphone to sing along to her brother's beat.
