A little bit about me

My name is Josh Mahoney and I am 21 years old. I have always loved taking care of and playing with kids from the age of <2-13 years old. I have babysat children in my neighborhood from the time I was 13 years old. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I play many sports including: soccer, lacrosse, hockey, basketball and football. I am used to household chores such as: laundry, cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, making beds etc.

I must also mention that I am the father of an 18 month old girl. I want to mention this as it may open new possibilities for nannying. I have direct hands on experience working with my daughter from the time she was born to her current age. I have done everything from applying diaper rash cream, bottle feeding, dressing for certain temperature and weather, putting her down to sleep, burping, baby led weaning, sensory play... the list goes on!

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my opinion, the most important part about being a nanny is for the kids to feel safe, happy and for them to know you care for them. Another important part of the job is also to lend a hand to parents who work long hours and need a "break" between work, home life, job/family stress. It is important for parents to prioritize time for their relationship, and having a nanny who you trust allows couples to focus on the part of their relationship they may have forgotten about or do not have the time to focus on.
