A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Joyce.
I have many years of experience with children of all ages.
We live in Stetson. We have four grown children. We homeschooled them all the way through.
I worked at a daycare in Hampden for a year, I volunteered with MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) for three years. I've been a 4-h leader for youth for many years in Penobscot County.
I was a full time nanny to twin girls from [phone number hidden]. The children currently joined a daycare. I still watch them periodically when I can. They are willing to give a reference.
My most current nanny position May, 2025-recently was for two young school age children, including one being diagnosed with autism and ADHD.
The family has changed dynamics and doesn't need a full-time nanny, but will also give a reference.
I also have twin grandsons that watch often, who have ADHD. They are soo fun.
I am First Aid and CPR certified.

I enjoy playing games with children and reading them books. I like to do crafts and create things. I will also take them to the park to play in the warm weather.

The most important part of being a nanny is having compassion for the little ones and teaching them life skills with patience, while establishing a real relationship with them.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with a 9 year old child with autism and ADHD for one year.
I enjoyed it.
I also worked with special needs adults with OHI of Bangor, for about 5 years. I enjoyed it.
