I’m Juli, or ”Nonni” as the grands call me. I’m a loving and nurturing grandmother with over 20 years of experience, including extensive time with newborns. I cared for my oldest granddaughter from the time she was 8 weeks old when her mom went back to work. My six granddaughters, ranging from 11 years old to 16 months, absolutely love having sleepovers at my place—they never want to leave! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a Nanny of sorts to my six granddaughters. I am a very involved grandmother and have been instrumental in helping raise them. I’ve been guardian for them when they’ve stayed and traveled with me for extended stays.

I was also a cheerleading coach for young girls through a recreational league. I’ve got experience in instructing children in theatre arts.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing pretend, dress up, art, singing, teaching simple ASL, reading, playing at the park, really just about anything that the child is interested in and the parents support.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing, in my opinion, is the child’s safety. Safety, in this case, means mental, emotional and physical safety. Ensuring the parents’ wishes are followed and the child feels seen, heard, loved and supported is a Nanny’s priority.

My experience with special needs children...

The only experience I have is one of my little cheerleaders was wheelchair bound. Her mother was present and I wasn’t called upon to assist with her needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

That’s a hard one to pin down with as many moments and memories as I have. I think it really comes down to how happy and excited the kiddos are when they see me. Their excitement means I’m doing something right. It makes my heart smile.
