I have worked with one child with Autism who was a year old when I started and about 4 when I left the family, and I recently worked with a 5 year old boy who had ODD and mild Autism as well.

When I left my last family, because they were moving to Oregon due to a job change for one of the parents, the little boy asked me to come with them because he would miss me so much. The parents also wrote me a wonderful note describing how important and wonderful I had been to their son, and how grateful they were because they had never had a more dedicated nanny before me. I got in my car and cried tears of happiness and am so grateful for that moment. It makes everything worth it.
