The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, it’s about being there for families who are just trying to get through their busy lives. Parents juggle so much, and I see being a nanny as a way to make things a little easier whether that’s keeping kids safe and happy, helping them learn something new, or just giving parents the peace of mind that their children are cared for with love and patience.
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have much experience with children with special needs, but I'm open to learn and assistant in anyway.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I worked as an assistant art teacher in an after-school program (4–7 pm, while parents were still at work), my students and I spent several days making clay bowls together. On the last day, they surprised me by gifting me the bowls as a parting present since it was my final project at the job. It was such a touching moment because it showed how much our time together meant to them and reminded me that caring for children isn’t just about supervising, it’s about building connections that stick with them.

Hi! My name is Jayana. I’m currently in nursing school and have a strong background caring for children of all ages. I previously worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for 2 years, where I supported infants and their families during some of their most important moments.
In addition to my clinical experience, I’ve also volunteered at COSI in the Little KidSpace, where I loved engaging with young children in creative play and hands-on science activities.
