"I’m writing to wholeheartedly recommend Julie as a babysitter. She cared for my youngest daughter with such kindness, patience, and responsibility that we quickly came to see her as part of the family.
Julie consistently demonstrated excellent judgment, was always punctual, and communicated clearly with us. She engaged my daughter in creative, age-appropriate play, handled routines smoothly, and was attentive to both her physical and emotional needs. I always felt at ease knowing my child was in her care.
She is dependable, trustworthy, and genuinely enjoys working with children, qualities that make her a true gem. We were sad to see her go, but any family would be lucky to have her!
Please feel free to reach out if you’d like more details about our experience.

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have cared for children in various settings. I worked in the recreation team at Hilton Hotels, where I helped organize fun, safe activities for kids of different ages. I also worked as a private babysitter for a 4-year-old girl in Florida, creating a structured daily routine with playtime, meals, and learning moments (reference available). In Canada, I volunteered with children in community programs, supporting group activities and promoting positive behavior. Additionally, I have a background in Pediatric Dentistry, which gave me hands-on experience understanding child development, emotional needs, and safety. I’m CPR/First Aid certified and speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese, which helps me communicate well with diverse families. I truly love working with children and always strive to create a loving and engaging environment where they can feel secure and grow happily.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in fun and meaningful activities that support their development. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, where we explore creativity together; storytime, using books to spark imagination and language skills; and outdoor play, which helps kids release energy and develop motor skills. I also enjoy doing educational games, music and dance, and organizing themed playdates that encourage social interaction and learning. I love building routines that balance fun, learning, and rest, and I always adapt the activities based on each child’s age, interests, and needs. My goal is to create a safe, joyful, and stimulating environment where children feel seen, heard, and loved.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is providing a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and free to grow. It’s about building trust with the family and making a positive impact on the child’s development.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve had meaningful experiences caring for children with special needs, and I always approach them with patience, empathy, and respect. In my background as a Pediatric Dentistry student and volunteer, I’ve worked with children who had autism, speech delays, and sensory sensitivities, adapting my communication and routine to meet their unique needs. I understand the importance of creating a calm, structured, and supportive environment, and I’m attentive to non-verbal cues and emotional regulation. I’ve also learned how to work alongside families to follow routines, therapy goals, and reinforce positive behaviors. Every child is different, and I truly believe in celebrating their strengths and helping them feel safe, capable, and loved.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments as a babysitter are the small, meaningful connections I build with each child. One that really touched me was when the 4-year-old girl I cared for in Florida (Izzy) ran to me with a big hug and said, “You make everything fun!” We had just finished a silly dance party in the living room followed by a storytime picnic. I love seeing children laugh, feel safe, and express themselves freely — it’s in those little moments that I realize how important my role is in their lives. Whether it’s helping them learn something new, comforting them after a tough day, or watching their creativity bloom during playtime, being part of their growth and joy is truly the most rewarding part of this job. It reminds me why caring for children is my true passion.
