More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Extensive childcare experience from toddlers through age 12. Provided full-time care for one child for three school years, including school pickup, transportation, meal prep, playdates, daily physical activity, and a creative curriculum incorporating math, art, early literacy, and world cultures. Later served as a live-in nanny for triplet toddlers, providing daily care, transportation, developmental activities, outings, and meal prep for the children and parents. Maintained a no-screen-time, interactive approach in both positions.
Spent five summers as a Kanakuk camp counselor providing 24-hour care for children ages 7–12 and teaching swimming, canoeing, archery, nature, and Bible studies. Additional experience includes Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Special Needs Buddy.
Completed graduate-level coursework in Marriage & Family Therapy at St. Mary’s University, including child and family development, communication, relationships, and family systems.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy keeping children active, engaged, learning, and having fun! Indoor activities include arts and crafts, painting, drawing, reading, puzzles, board games, LEGO/building projects, science experiments, baking and cooking, music and dancing, imaginative play, dress-up, scavenger hunts, fort building, sensory activities, educational games, math and literacy activities, and learning about different countries and cultures. Outdoor activities include parks and playgrounds, swimming, nature walks, hiking, biking and scooters, sidewalk chalk, water play, outdoor scavenger hunts, picnics, gardening, ball games, obstacle courses, and exploring nature. I also enjoy planning outings to libraries, museums, zoos, botanical gardens, splash pads, and other age-appropriate attractions. I believe children learn through play and exploration, so I tailor activities to each child's age, interests, developmental level, and personality while making sure they have plenty of physical activity.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is recognizing the privilege and responsibility that comes with being invited to influence a child’s life. A nanny should partner with parents, learning and reinforcing their family’s values, priorities, routines, and expectations so the child receives consistent guidance and care. My role is not simply to keep a child safe and occupied, but to invest in who they are becoming—nurturing their confidence, curiosity, character, independence, and kindness. I want parents to know that while their child is in my care, the values that matter to their family will continue to be modeled and reinforced in a loving, positive, and age-appropriate way.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the sweetest parts of being a nanny is that sometimes the relationship doesn’t end when the job does. I cared for Emily throughout her preschool and kindergarten years, and she wanted me to remain part of her life. I had the privilege of watching the little girl I once picked up from school grow up and celebrating so many milestones with her—from holidays and high school graduation to her wedding. Most special of all was celebrating the birth of her own child. It is incredibly meaningful to know that a relationship that began because I was her nanny became a lifelong connection. Watching a child I once cared for become a mother herself is one of the sweetest and most memorable gifts of my childcare experience.
