I have worked as a part time, long term nanny, a preschool teacher, a child care director and have worked with school aged children as well as children diagnosed with behavioral issues and special needs. I am well rounded and knowledgeable. I have training in the field that I feel will be beneficial to my role as a nanny to your family.

I enjoy being active with children. I enjoy hands on activities, art projects, reading and also playing outside. I believe children need to learn through discover and play to develop the necessary skills needed throughout their lives.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with many children with special needs. After college I worked as an instructional aide for 2 years with children on the autism spectrum in elementary school. I also babysat for a child with severe autism after college. I have worked as a preschool teacher and director and have encountered children with various special needs ranging from speech delays, behavioral issues to children with diagnosed special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I just enjoy when children laugh and play. It makes me smile to see toddlers and two year olds that are exploring something for the first time and it truly excites them. All the smiles and giggles are what makes the job worthwhile.
