My name is Julisa and I am a mother of 2 kids one boy that is 7 years old and a girl that’s 4 years old. I also have 3 dogs. I really enjoy taking care of kids and it’s something I am really passionate about. When I became a mother it was the greatest moment of my life. Nothing has brought me more joy than my kids. It’s the biggest gift anyone can ask for. On my free time I enjoy being outdoors and enjoying nature. I love hikes. I also like to workout. I do have some background with child development, I took some child development classes at Long Beach city college.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started my experience taking care of kids at a young age babysitting for family members. I would always ask to baby sit because it was something I enjoyed doing. After high school and while going to college , I started working at a Montessori daycare. I learned a lot about the Montessori method through my boss. I would assist her with supervising 12 kids. I would bake with the kids, do art, do activities, and potty train them. I also assisted with snacks. During the time I worked there I also would privately watch kids from their home on the weekends. I would help with light meal prep and help with bedtimes since it was mostly nights I would babysit. I did get most of my experience with kids when I became a mother myself. Then I had my own daycare for a few years. I had 8 kids total all by myself. I learned to multitask a lot through my daycare. I did the cleaning, meal prepping, and planning activities for the kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some indoor activities I enjoy doing with kids would be baking, doing art activities, playing with play dough, making slime, reading, singing, dancing and play pretend. Outdoor activities I enjoy with children would be playing with the water table, setting up activities for a sensory table, and playing catch.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to be about nanny is to build a bond with trust and love. Another thing is seeing them happy always. A kids safety and well being is also important. And lastly helping a child grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
