A little bit about me

Hello! I am 26 years old and a pre-primary school assistant teacher. I have been a nanny for 3 years. 2 years with a family and 1 Year as a babysitter and assistant teacher. I am First Aid/ CPR/ AED certified including food handlers and their certification and training (will provide upon request). Apart from that, I have 2 siblings and a lot of my cousins that I have taken care of personally. I finished my bachelor in psychology to understand better about children.

I love children and playing with them. I am outgoing and creative minded person. I have experienced a lot of things in life because of my curiosity to do a lot of things such as playing piano, guitar, dance, singing, yoga, meditation, workout, cooking, art, sketch, crafting and many more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think it’s to be a friend and a teacher to the child that the nanny is taking care of. Children learns from the adults and so I believe nanny needs to be that role model. I teach my children the manners and respect and be goofy around them when I am playing with them. I think as a nanny myself, I think them like my own child and what is good and not good for them and what’s the best option as safety and comfort.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are quite few of them. I would like to share the one I found very enjoyable. One of the child I am taking care of started to dancing around me and saying “let’s dance Mrs Farima” as my name is Fahmida. I laughed and reminded her my name and then we started to dance like crazy and singing together. I really loved that moment.
