I was a hospital volunteer for a couple months and I worked in the NICU and in Labor and delivery.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m really big on singing and dancing as a learning form. I feel music is one of the easiest ways to connect with young children! I’m a very avid reader, so I really enjoy reading and having story time with them as well. I’ve taken six years of Spanish and even though I’m not fluent, I still really enjoy singing, speaking and reading in Spanish to the children as well!

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my opinion the most important part, is bonding with the child. I feel it’s very important for a child to have a good relationship with their nanny due to the fact that it’s someone that they’re going to see on a daily basis. I feel that it’s also really important for the child to have a good relationship with them due to the fact that they will be the one teaching them and staying with them as they grow.

My experience with special needs children...

I have many family members that I have cared for that have special needs. I don’t think that the job is any harder. I think if you have patience, you’ll realize that you bond with them just the same!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think my favorite nanny moment was watching my infants go through the repeating phase! Watching how they learn and how they comprehend was amazing to me!
