The most important part about being a nanny to me is being present. Children are going to be in the care of people they are not comfortable or have not met yet. It is important for nannys to be present and play with them, help them, guide them, communicate with them, and aid to their needs. Once a nanny is present, a relationship between a nanny and child can be even stronger.

During my Early Childhood Course, I was taking care of a child with autism. The parent gave me rules to follow and prepared certain scenarios for me to be aware of. I have learned how to handle certain situations.
