I have worked with children ages 6 months- 12 years old at a nursery in the Charlotte area. I am currently a registered behavior technician in Pineville where I implement treatment plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder from ages 2-12.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love reading and encouraging the kiddos to read too! I find reading to be a great alternative to tablets. I enjoy any arts and crafts and love sensory play such as Play-Doh and kinetic sand. I love outdoor activities such as hiking, going to the park, swimming, biking, and dog-walking!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Children need as many safe spaces and positive figures as possible in the current world we live in. I have always felt it to be my responsibility to be a safe adult for children and a support system, as it is crucial to establish these during childhood. I want all kids to have the chance to grow into great adults!
My experience with special needs children...
I have been a registered behavioral technician since June 2024 and implement treatment plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder from ages 2-12. I have worked with children on every level of the disorder and have been trained in crisis prevention. I am prepared to work with maladaptive behaviors such as elopement, self-injurious behavior, aggression, property destruction, and mouthing.
