More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
During my last two years of high school I was involved in a school club called HOSA where we hosted events teaching kids about science and medicine. Two of our most successful events were our mini medical school day events where kids came to enjoy the day under our supervision and went through various stations to learn about pathogens, anatomy, and much more, as well as our HOSA Haunted House where kids could go through a science themed haunted house! These events allowed me to experience working with large groups of kids in a more stressful setting.
I have also been working with two families for the last few months, both with 3 kids, one with two toddlers and a 7-year-old, and the other with 2 infants and a toddler!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy taking the kids to the park, getting them outside in general is one of my favorite activities. When it is too cold for outdoor activities, I enjoy doing fun movie days with themed snacks for the kids, as well as making stimulating activities such as texture play and playing make believe with them! I do always run any activities by parents first, just to be sure they approve, and all messes will always be cleaned up before you get home.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important thing about being a nanny is remembering that the younger children are truly sponges for knowledge. It is important to me that they don’t fall behind or take steps backwards when learning every day tasks. I want to understand the source of the blockage, and work with the child to accomplish new things together! A good connection with a child can open up a new world of learning for them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with one 4-year-old boy with high functioning Autism and ADHD.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments being a nanny are seeing a milestone! I love hearing my kids learning new words, counting with me, learning to use a new utensil or a new manner. It warms my heart when we take a step back and break things down together in order to learn something new!
