Playing learning games, I'm constantly engaging in conversation with toddlers. They understand more than you think. I also enjoy playing, as if I'm a kid as well. Reading books, and I loooooove arts and crafts.

My experience with special needs children...
I have a niece that is 3, that has non verbal autism, and is high on the spectrum. I spend alot of my time with her. She is like one of the most beautiful souls in the planet. I understand her very well. And she absolutely loves me and that makes me feel great.
The most important part about being a nanny...
So this isn't necessarily a nanny moment, but one time when I was in high school, a special needs boy ran straight up to me from behind and hugged me and would not let me go, I was not scared but his teacher came running up very unsure of what was happening.. because she told me that he hasn't hugged anybody but her or his parents in 5 years. He didn't let go for 5 minutes that made me feel so good
