A little bit about me

Hello! I am 22 years old and have been around kids my whole life! When I am not working at the preschool you can typically find me spending time with my family, cheering my brothers on at their football games, or relaxing with a good book! I love kids of all ages and would love the opportunity to work with your little ones! I have experience with writing a curriculum based off of a child’s interests. I also have experience with providing great care to multiple children at a time. Typically in my classroom it is just me and fifteen 4 year olds. One of the requirements at my preschool is that each year we take a minimum of 20 hours of classes that teach us about working with children and how to improve our skills. As a nanny I like to think of the guardians of the children and I as a team working together to help the children meet milestones, have all needs met, and feel incredibly loved!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

When I was in high school I would nanny for 3 kids during the summer ages 2,7,10. Currently I am a pre-K teacher and have been for over 3 years. I am also consistently baby sitting my nieces and nephews ages 8 months, 2, 4. As well as taking care of my brothers while my dad is away for work ages 13 and 15.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

One of my most favorite things to do with children of any age is art! Especially doing different kinds of art to go along with holidays, seasons, weather etc. Some other activities I love doing with children is sensory activities, experiments, and playing fun games! It is very important to me that while children are in my care they have a very limited amount of screen time! I believe there are plenty of fun and engaging activities we can do away from TVs and iPads!

In my opinion the most important part of being a nanny is making sure the children I am caring for feel safe and loved.

I have way too many to pick just one but, if I have to choose I would say when I see children growing and learning and showing evidence of what they have been taught. Seeing kids reach new milestones is an amazing feeling!
