My experience with special needs children...
I have very little experience with special needs children, I have not cared for one alone but I have done one on ones with one 8 year old severely autistic girl (while other people were around but not directly with us)

My family friends son would mistakenly call me mommy, he was the absolute sweetest and saw me as a second mother and as a young girl it means a lot because though I know I have to correct him the split second where I can imagine being a mom to a little one of my own truly just warms my heart and makes me even more excited to become a mother one day.
