Previously I have worked at Goldfish Swim School (sophomore year of highschool- senior year of highschool). Also throughout highschool I worked learn to skate at my local ice arena with children. Currently I work at a daycare at school with children around 5 months up to the age of 8. I have had previous babysitting jobs as well. For my classes at school I have a certain amount of hours I need to get at my plaement at the elementary school. I spend time in a first grade classroom currently and help them with work, do assessments with them, bring a positive and caring personality for the children. My previous placements have been in a kindergarten classroom as well as a second grade classroom.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I want to make sure that the children are always having fun and occupied. In the past while I have babysat I have used pinterest to give me some unique ideas of activities I can do with children when they are extremely bored. One example I have is I made the children a color scavenger hunt, there were specific colors on a piece of paper and they had to look outdoors or indoors to find things with these colors. I also know how important it is that some parents might not want their children on electronics the whole day. I love to play board games, play outside, do crafts, build forts, any interests the children might have.
