Activities I enjoy doing with children...
The activities I enjoy doing are different with each child I work with.
Things such as age, stage of development, & interests all go into the activity I would choose.
However, throughout all of my activities, there is intentionality. I do not view activities as a way to keep the child busy or distracted. Instead, I see them as a learning opportunity, a chance to practice a new skill, or a way children can express their creativity.
While I do not rely on screens for activities, there are some beneficial websites and videos which can increase understanding, depending on a child's age.
This is to say I am not opposed to using technology to benefit comprehension.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Understanding what you do impacts the child in your care.
You are another teacher in this child’s life and need to fully know the responsibility you hold.

My experience with special needs children...
Through volunteering at church, I worked closely with a child with Down syndrome for around 2 years.
Each child has needs, and children with special needs are no different. Their needs just look a little different from others.
I am more than willing to learn about your child’s specific needs and how to best care for him or her.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments are the ones where the kids’ nerves melt away. They are completely comfortable with me & look forward to seeing me. It can take time but the wait is so worth it!

Babysitter Available in Upper Marlboro, MD: Payton P.
I currently work as a Childcare Teacher’s Aide at Prince George’s Employees Child Care Center, where I help care for children in a structured classroom setting. In this role, I assist with daily routines such as meals, outdoor play, learning activities, and transitions, while also supporting children’s emotional, social, and behavioral development. I observe and assess students, use positive reinforcement and redirection, and help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging environment.
I also completed a 3 year Child Development Program in high school, which gave me a strong foundation in how children grow, learn, and communicate. This training, combined with my hands-on daycare experience, allows me to understand children’s needs and respond with patience, kindness, and consistency.
I am naturally patient, nurturing, and responsible, and I take pride in creating an environment where children feel safe, heard, and supported. I am very attentive to safety, routines, and cleanliness.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Upper Marlboro, MD: Dexter G.
Hello! My name is Dexter, I am 25 years old and have a 4 year old son. Currently I am a Dedicated Aide at a school working with autistic children but here is some of my background. My first experience in child care was when I was 16 years old watching my sister’s friends kids. From then I grew an interest in watching kids. After graduating high school I moved to North Carolina and went to college there pursuing my degree in Human Services Technology(working with at risk youth), while doing that I volunteered for a church I was attending and would watch the kids age groups 1-3 years old as the parents would either attend service or also be a volunteer in the building. I volunteered for a year. Over time circumstances changed and I moved back home and still perused a job in child care and had a position as a teacher assistant for a summer program working with kids age group 3-5 years old. I take pride in being a positive figure for children while spreading positivity to them.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Upper Marlboro, MD: Stevie D.
Hi! My name is Stevie, and all of my professional experience with kids is lifeguarding at pools so I have been CPR/AED/first aid/ and water rescue certified for years and made save. I have taught one on one swimming lessons. I have babysat plenty of times for my family too. I love to cook and clean, and I play musical instruments and can even teach lessons for those that I play. (Piano, drums, and string instruments.) I am handy and can use tools and fix small stuff like door hinges or broken kitchen chairs: things like that. I would love to be a live in nanny as that also takes care of finding a new place to live. I moved back in with my parents because they let me play my musical instruments, and I pay rent. I have a car. I have no children of my own so I am not anchored down to any one place. And I love being a caregiver.
