Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a nanny for the Martin family, they had two children twins. I was hired when they were three years old. I helped potty training, I did light housekeeping and laundry. I worked for this family for six year. They moved to Florida, they wanted me to go with them but I passed. I still however still stay in touch with the family and the twins.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, crafts, i don’t feel that children should watch tv all day. I like to keep them busy. Go outside, play sports, a few shows or some games are ok.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To be there, to listen, make sure the children ate safe as long as they are in my care. I love working around children, not only can i be there for them. They can also teach us, to be part of there life, and to inspire them, is the best part of being a nanny.
My experience with special needs children...
I do have experience with special needs children. My niece Heather is a special needs young woman. She is 22 but has the brain of a six year old. She had to be bathed, and helped in the bathroom. She loved to color, and some of her drawings were so beautiful.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would have to say my favorite moment as a nanny would be, there was a big storm.. And the twins tan to me and both hugged me tightly. The little girl, Bella, looked up at me, and she said, i feel safe with you. It made my heart melt. I want them to feel safe, to feel loved.
